The right to own property is the “Pursuit of Happiness”referred to in the US Constitution. It is one of our foundational rights. South Dakota Citizens for Liberty strongly supports property owners rights. Please keep these points in mind and vote to support the following HOUSE BILLS:
HB1219 Prohibit Eminent Domain for carbon dioxide pipelines
HB1243 Extend PUC deadlines upon request of any party.
HB1246 Establish a Pre-condemnation process and require reclamation of property damaged by condemnation.
HB1256 Establish percentage requirements for voluntary agreements governing pipeline construction prior to the filing of a petition for condemnation.
HB1258 Provide that a company transporting hydrogen by pipeline is not a common carrier.
